Here we're gonna publish questions for YFJ to ANSWER - and the
ANSWERS!
1. Who are your favourite musicians/bands?
Jude: Beck, Gorillaz, LCD Soundsystem, Unknown Mortal Orchestra, Flight of the Conchords, Steely Dan, Pond, King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard, waaay too many more to name.
Vic: I don’t have a favorite musician or band, I just listen to whatever.
4. Who are you? How did you all meet?
Jude: I'm a human, from Earth. AJ & I met during December 2018. I had known Vic earlier than that, but they didn't join YFJ until I think January.
Vic: We are just some people who make music. Me? I’m just a demi girl in the band who hasn’t played the drums yet in any of the songs. I met Jude and Addi in 4th grade (I knew who Jude was before, but I didn’t get to know him as a person until 4th grade), then Jude and Addi introduced me to Arun.
2. What is the perfect pop song for you?
Jude: A song with lyrics, a tempo, a variety of notes, and chords.
Vic: Something with good lyrics and catchy beat.
5. What comes first for you when you're making music: lyrics or melody?
Jude: We usually write lyrics first, then figure out the music later.​
Vic: Nothing. Like I said, I haven’t played the drums yet in any of the songs.
3. What's the coolest instrument on Earth? (Type/model etc.)
Jude: I would have to say the Yamaha CS80. No instrument emanates more pure awesomeness.
Vic: Drums. Period.
6. Do other friends of yours also make music, or is it just you? Do you see yourself as part of a scene? (Does anyone nowadays??)
Jude: I feel like I'm part of the whole movie.
Vic: It’s just me, lol, but I’m ok with it.
